great place, everything reminds me of the movie Forrest Gump. The staff is extremely friendly. The food is top notch as is the cleanliness

The atmosphere was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the bay, we even saw a pair of dolphins swimming near the pier. The food was good; the only downside is that many items on the menu on their own exceed the recommended daily calorie intake , so if you’re on a diet, you might have trouble finding lighter options.

Shrimp Shack Mac and Cheese had a very rich flavor, and it stayed hot so we could enjoy it well. Jenny’s Salmon and Shrimp had fresh salmon, so it was a simple but solid choice. The shrimp linguine pasta was basic. The seasoning was a bit light, but it was still okay to eat. The atmosphere was loud, but we were still able to have a conversation. There was a birthday table nearby, and the staff sang for them, which was an interesting thing to see. It’s a good spot to stop by after walking around Pier 39 for a light meal shrimp

First of all, atmosphere is great. Nice view and service is not bad. But in November, it was chilling inside. We had to sit with coats on. For reviewing the food I can criticize only what we ate. Calamari; stay away from it. İt was the worst calamari I ate. Maybe I like more Turkish or Greek style calamari. Bigger size, golden crispy and served with tarator souse. This was small size, deep fried (dried) and not delicious. Mama blues shrimp gumbo soup: good delicious and more than enough Shrimp shack mac& cheese; nice choice but can include more shrimp inside Forest ribeye & shrimp: it was the best choice for me! The meat was very delicious and juicy even for a fish restaurant surprisingly cold temperature inside and serving a bad taste calamari made them lost the fifth star…

We ordered the fish and chips, the shrimp and crab rolls and the chicken sandwich. The fish and chips were really good and the shrimp rolls flavorful but a little creamy so very filling. The chicken sandwich was a thick piece but flavorful. There was a wait of about 10 minutes and took about 15 to get our food. Service was ok but a little rushed. Beautiful view of the bay but we were seated not close enough to see.

We went to Bubba Gump after we saw the movie once again online. We knew we had to wait because it was saturday and a during the holidays there is more people.The wait was 45 minutes but the restaurantbis right on pier 39 so lots of places to visit while waiting. They texted us and we got in.It was truly fun to see the characters from the movie displayed all around the restaurant. We loved that to stop the waiter at the table We had to flip the sign from 'run forest run ' to 'stop Forest stop'. We were seated next to a window so we could also enjoy the outside. The customer service was great. They gave a themed coloring to my child which made him smile. The food was very yummy I ordered from their 30th anniversary menu the dipper. Which is a spicy shrimp soup , rice and garlic bread. My child ordered the pop corn shrimp which he loved because the container was a boat just like in the movie. We really loved the lively vibe. The prices were reasonable. Also after we left we took photos on forest bench and there was the chocolate box and all. I would say this one memory I will really cherish with my child.

I always love me a trip to Bubba Gump’s! This is one of our favorite places to go with the family anytime we visit an area that has one. Forrest may say “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get” but here you definitely know. The food is great, and very consistent, the service is solid, and the kids love the place. This time we made a quick trip up to the pier to spend a few hours away from the heat. Bubba never disappoints. We went on Labor Day weekend, Sunday and the weight was about an hour and a half. Now we have a little trick and we were sitting in our window side table for seven within 10 minutes; never fails us! Talk about feelin like a VIP?! Anyway, we always have a great time here. The one thing I wish they’d still do without being asked is quiz you on the movie knowledge. As far as the specifics on food, I can’t stay away from the jambalaya, it is amazing. My wife loves the ribeye w/ grilled shrimp. One thing I have to say is the grilled shrimp are rather flavorless. The kids go crazy over the mac & cheese. The kids mac & cheese is decent, but if you want a really good mac & cheese, you’ve gotta get The one off the appetizer menu. Our oldest tried the crab and shrimp rolls this time and those were bomb! My wife and I each had a drink which was equally delicious. And that’s all I got to say about that.

My husband feels like his seafood platter lunch was like an upscale version of Denny's or Applebee's, since his fish was thin with lots of breading, and the shrimp & fries were good but could've been better). My coconut shrimp was delicious though! Yum! The waiter was super friendly and attentive. An overall fun atmosphere with birthday celebrations going on, family friendly place. Lots of Forrest Gump paraphernalia all around the restaurant and in the gift shop. The Dr Pepper ice cream float was slurpy & yummy too! Overall, a nice experience. (The crepe place downstairs was fantastic though!!)
